Charles Wesley "Wes" Turner  Charles Wesley “Wes” Turner, 47, left us suddenly and unexpectedly on May 8, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Anniston AL. Wes was born on February 13th, 1978. He was a 1996 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School. He attended college at Jacksonville State University where he was a member of the renowned Marching Southerners. He had an exceptional talent for music. Wes was known for his care and compassion for others. “He would give the shirt off his back and had a heart of gold”, his neighbor recently said. Wes also had an infectious sense of humor to all who knew him. He loved animals, particularly his beloved pet cats. He had a great appreciation for nature and the outdoors and enjoyed mountain biking, camping, fishing, etc. He had a keen interest in local and world events and was an avid reader.

Wes will be profoundly missed by his surviving family members including parents Danny Turner and Jackie Cartee Turner, brothers Bryan and Marc Turner and brother-in-law Scott Bannister, along with many friends and his loving, supportive extended family.
