Charles W. Lambert – Obituary

Dr. Charles W. Lambert ended his earthly journey on March 6, 2015. He was a graduate of Birmingham – Southern College and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. Dr. Lambert opened his dental practice in Athens in July 1964 and was beloved by his many patients, even beyond his retirement in 2007. Prior to attending college, Dr. Lambert served in the United States Army while stationed in Verdun, France. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; his daughter, Jennifer Ann Lambert Herrin (Brian), Potomac Falls, VA; his sons, Charles Gregory Lambert (Felicia), Athens, William Christopher Lambert (Christine), Birmingham, and Michael Clem Lambert (Glenna), Athens; his grandchildren, Molly Owen (Matt), Birmingham, Brooke Tilghman, Huntsville, Jessica and Gregory Lambert, Athens, Colin Lambert, Birmingham, Kristen and Elisabeth Lambert, Athens; his step – grandchildren, Blake and Chad Herrin, Potomac Falls, VA, and Connor and Eva Byrum, Birmingham, two brothers, Robert L. Lambert (Janie), Athens, and Gilbert W. Lambert (Alberta), Athens; his sister, Patricia Lambe (Ronny), Baton Rouge, LA, and half-sister, Diana Patton (Bud), Tuscaloosa. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Athens. Visitation will be held in the Beasley Center, adjacent to the church, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or First United Methodist Church of Athens.
