Charles Thurman “Cup Man” Hubbell, 88, retired employee of Monsanto Chemical Company, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his residence on Campbellsville Pike.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Larry Benderman officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Born August 19, 1931 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Smith Shelvin Hubbell and the late Willie Gladys Thurman Hubbell. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Faye Underwood Hubbell; son, Jerry Wayne (Janet) Hubbell; sister, Elizabeth “Sis” Hubbell; grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Wood; Jason Hubbell; Angela Murray; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; niece, Teresa (Terry) Estis; and nephew, Gary Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Michael Hubbell; brothers, Thomas Hubbell; Anderson Hubbell; Milford Hubbell; sister, Pearl Burkeen; and grandsons, Shane Hubbell; and Brian Hubbell.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Hubbell, Trenton Hubbell, Braxton Wood, Grey Wood, Gary Anderson, and Terry Estis. Honorary pallbearers include member of Bethel Church of Christ.
