Charles T. “Sonny” Thompson Jr., 74, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at his residence.
There will be a graveside service held at Franklin Memory Gardens today at 2 p.m. with James Lee officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service.
Charles is survived by his wife, Dianne M. Thompson; children, Jimmy Thompson (Janece) and Barbara Todd (Tim); stepchildren, William J. Sneed and Michelle Brewer; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Thompson, Tim Todd, Tyler Thompson, William J. Sneed, Tony James, and Jimmy Osborn. Honorary bearers will be Hunter Todd, Jimmy Joe Myrick, and Ed Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. Thompson Sr. and Bessie King Thompson; sisters, Mattie Jean Osborn and Thera Lee James; and brother, Bob Thompson.
Pinkard Funeral Home will be directing.
