Toehead worked for Uptain Construction for 30 years as a crane engineer and after his retirement he went back to his roots and started farming. Farming is something he truly enjoyed doing in life, it gave him the time to spend with his grandchildren with whom he was a truly devoted and beloved grandfather who enjoyed spoiling them and being heavily involved in their lives. Never missing a ballgame or special event and always knowing their friends. To say he will be missed is an understatement, not only was he our father and grandfather he was our best friend.

Pallbearers will be Boo Gordon, Terry Prince, John Churchwell, Charleston Hudson, Matthew Hudson, and James Swarthout. Honorary pallbearers include, Bill Fly, Mike Lynch, Billy Johnson, Amos McCoy, Wesley Uptain, Jeff Lancaster, Joe Vineski, Sheila and Howard White, Mike McDonald, Ronnie Mash, Robert Dycus, Duck Sharp, James Carpenter, Bobby McCall, Snookes and Ricky Kelley, and his breakfast crew at Doo Dad’s and his lunch crew at Williamsport Lakes.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Gibran Naddy as a wonderful doctor and friend.
