Funeral services for Mr. Charles “Shag” Garner, age 60, are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, August 23, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Garner passed away early Wednesday at his home in Huron. He was born May 6, 1960 in Melrose Park, IL to the late Cloise and Edna Burton Garner. He was a National Guard Veteran and an employee of Kirby Container. He loved his Harley, enjoyed mechanic work and scrapping metal. Mr. Garner was preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel, Jesse, Clothel, Terry, and Clois Wayne Garner and two sisters, Wanda Stewart and Dorenda Cupples. Survivors include his son, Dustin Garner; his daughter, Brittany Hensley (Chris); three sisters, Belinda Garner, Norma Hays, and Dorthy Pierce; and four grandchildren, Wyatt Garner, Draven Powers, C. J. Hensley, and Nevaeh Hensley.
