Charles Ricky “Rick” Gordon – Obituary

Charles Ricky “Rick” Gordon, 59, of Lexington, AL, passed away December 8, 2014, after an extended illness. Mr. Gordon was a 1973 graduate of Lexington High School and a member of Green’s Chapel Methodist Church. He was a retired insurance salesman and also a member of Anderson Golf Club.

Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife Lisa Ann Gordon; mother Ruth Gordon Smith; sons Charlie (Wendy) of Hazel Green, AL and Tyler (Leah Beth) of West Frankfort, IL ; daughters Ericka (Stanley) and Kathy (Cody)- both of Lexington; brother Jeff Gordon of Killen; sister Maureen Jones of Rogersville; (3) grandchildren; and (3) nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Charles L. Gordon and grandparents Ledon and Louise Turpen.

Visitation for Mr. Gordon will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 11 AM-1 PM at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Tyler Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Pettus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody McCrary, Stanley Risner, Vince Culps, Keith Hunt, Stanley Clemmons, and Bo Howard.

Rick was a lover of golf and Alabama Football. Roll Tide! He was proud of his family and fought hard to live for them. Rick wanted to make sure all his friends knew how much he valued their friendship over the years.
