Charles Ralph Jackson, 90, of Florence, passed away March 10, 2014. He was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ, American Legion of Florence, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Jack Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Etha Hill Jackson; grandsons, Ritchie Graeme Hutchens, and Patrick John Mitchell.
He is survived by his son, Charles Harold Jackson of Canton, Georgia; daughter, Marsha J. Mitchell of Huntsville; grandchildren, Tyler Harris Mitchell of Hollywood, FL, Blake Chandler Penn of Canton, Georgia, Shannon Tyler Penn of Roswell, Georgia; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gene Jackson, James Underwood, Gary Hill, Blake Penn, Shannon Penn, and Hollis Lovelace.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
