Funeral service for Charles Michael Mangham, 75, will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Amey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Mangham died on December 26, 2023 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1948 in Texas to Arthur Neal and Margaret Ellen Johnston Mangham. Mr. Mangham worked in the carbide manufacturing industry for 47 years and was a Plant Manager for Teledyne Firth Sterling prior to his retirement. After retiring, he worked at a book store for eight years which was his dream job. Mr. Mangham was a leader in many ways: a Boy Scout Leader for 10 years, earned Wood Badge Award in ‘88, Award of Merit in ‘90 and served as a Wood Badge Assistant Course Director in ’91 and ’92. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge in Somerville for 10 years.
Mr. Mangham was a Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church for 40 years. He was a member of the Cotaco United Methodist Church and served in many capacities throughout the years. He became a member of Stone River Church in March of 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bryan Michael Mangham and a grandson, Bryan Luke Kirby.

Son – Sam Mangham
Daughter – Beth Kirby (Joe)
3 Grandchildren – Sarah Beth Kirby, Nic Kirby and Daniel Kirby
3 Brothers – Cleve, Neal and Colin Mangham
2 Brothers-in-Law – Ward Cain and Dan Cain (Jean)
3 Sisters-in-Law – June Shane (Tommy), Gayle Shroeder (Ronnie) and Alice Cain
12 Nieces and 8 Nephews
