Charles Mayo, 81, of New Hope, passed away Monday. Charles retired from Spencer Oil Company formerly Tharsher Oil Company of Huntsville after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Idella Mayo; father, Pat Henry Mayo, Sr.; mother, Rosie Lee Mayo Cooper; sister, Reba Edwards; brothers, Pat Mayo and Lloyd Mayo.
Surviving are his brothers, Simon Mayo and Samuel (Betty) Mayo; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow Thursday at 3:00 PM with David Brown officiating.
Interment will be in the Cloud Cemetery.
