Charles Max “Butch” Case passed away October 22, 2018 at his home in Cordova, Tennessee.
Butch was born in Decatur July 7, 1956 to Charles E. Case and the late Ann Hamrick Case and was a 1974 graduate of Austin High School. Butch professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 13 and joined Brookhaven Baptist Church in Decatur.
Butch attended Purdue University at Indianapolis before beginning a career in highway and road construction with Holland and Woodard in Decatur, and then Vulcan Materials Company in Memphis, Tennessee where he was an area sales manager.
Butch and his wife Tammy are members of Hope Church in Cordova. Both were involved in the Caring Ministry at Hope and founded and hosted a small group in their home every Friday night for over ten years. Butch also had a passion for the Neighborhood Christian Center in Memphis and Decatur.
Butch was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Esther Hamrick, Ed and Eula Case and his mother.
Butch is survived by his father, Charles; his wife, Tammy Stafford Case; sons, Brad, Matt and Travis; daughters, Daisy, Holly, Airyn, Aishlyn and Jordyn; brother, Mike; and sister, Maria; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brad Case, Matt Case, Travis Case, Andrew Case, Charles Case, Mike Case, Bruce Young and Whitt Young.
Visitation and a celebration of life service will be held at Hope Church Friday October 26th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the funeral to be held at 1:30 p.m. followed immediately by a graveside service for the family at Memorial Park.
