A memorial service will be held later this summer in New Jersey. Details to be announced at a later date.

Charles is survived by the love of his life and “Honey” of sixty-three years, Jacki Marsh; his children: David (Nora), Maryann (Bruce), Pamela (Chris); his grandchildren: Amie, Jonathan, David, Michael, Hannah, Nora, Jesse, Jared, Rebekah, Caleb, Julia, Susannah, Isaac, Abigail, Jonah, Justin, Tejay, Jeraca; and great grandchildren: Nathan, Brock, Heaven, Brooklyn, Brian, Kaiden, Anthony, Victoria, and Nicholas.

Charles was preceded by his brother Harry; his sister Mary; his daughter Darlene; and his son Timothy.

Charles was born in Audubon, NJ, on July 10th, 1929. He served our country during the Korean War. Among other jobs, he worked as a millwright mechanic at Hercules Incorporated for thirty-six years. He was a charter member of Cinnaminson Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, janitor, and servant for many years. After he and Jacki moved to Manahawkin, NJ, he attended Manahawkin Baptist Church, and when they moved to Athens, AL, he attended Summit Crossing Community Church.

Charles was lovingly called Hon, Charles, Daddy, Uncle, and Pop-Pop. He was an avid gardener, a jack-of-all-trades, and could fix almost anything. He made friends with everyone he met and had a great love of God. As a mechanic, Charles showed his love for the Lord and people by visiting them and repairing things. He will be greatly missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to either Women’s Recourse Center in Athens, AL, or America’s Keswick Colony of Mercy in New Jersey.
