Charles Lyman Howell

Decatur

October 23, 1930 –

June 10, 2014

Mr. Howell was born in Marion County and is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Ann Howell; his children, Wanda Diane Robinson (Douglas) of Atlanta, Karen Marie Hall (Bob) of Charleston, WV, Charles Lyman Howell Jr. of Atlanta, Patricia Ann Hollingsworth (Harry) of Huntsville and Nancy Elizabeth Whiteside (Dwayne) of Decatur; five grandchildren, George, Charley, Emily, Mickey and Tyler; one great-grandchild, Stavros; one sister, Linda Sue Howell Bradley (Don) of Jasper; two nephews, Larry Howell and Will Bradley; and one niece, Kristy Wawryk.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Brynestod officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 240 Johnston St. SE, Decatur, AL 35601 or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1700 Carridale St. SW, Decatur, AL 35601.
