Mrs. Charles “Louise” Balch, 90, longtime Tupelo educator and civic minded citizen of our area, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at United Methodist Senior Services-Mitchell Center after a long, productive and fulfilling life. She was a longtime revered teacher in the Tupelo Public Schools and the widow of Charles Balch, who died in l997. Mrs. Balch is survived by her son, Chuck; her daughter, Mary Katherine and their families.
A service celebrating her life will be held at Noon Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery near Chalybeate in Tippah County. Visitation will be from 10 AM-service time on Tuesday only, all at Holland-Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving the family.
