Mr. Charles Lee Covington, 57, a resident of Lauderdale County, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at E.C.M. Hospital. He was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church, and served his country as a medic in the United States Navy.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 9 – 11 a.m. at Woodmont Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 11a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Thompson and the Rev. Jerry Rea. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park with military honors.
Mr. Covington was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia
Covington.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Covington; daughters, Amanda and Madison Covington; sons, Joshua and Dustin Covington; sisters, Linda Atkinson, and Susan Paul.
Pallbearers will be Roy Ross, Joshua Covington, Dustin Covington, James Bowles, Byron Bush, Jack Everitt, Sadler Dalton, and Wes Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 104 S. Poplar Street, Florence, AL 35630; Woodmont Baptist Church, 2001 Darby Drive, Florence, AL 35630; or Shoals Christian School, 301 Heathrow Drive, Florence, AL 35633.
