Charles Joseph Connell, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home from an extended illness on April 30, 2026. Charles was born on June 8, 1949, to the late Joseph and Lorene Talbert Connell. He owned a janitorial service and worked for the State of Tennessee. Charles was also of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by sister; Jan Mayo, and grandchild; Brooklyn Cantrell.
He is survived by his loving family, wife; Sharon Connell, sons; William Cornett, Joe Van Winkel, David Van Winkle, Matthew (Makayla) Van Winkle, Travis Van Winkle, daughter; Vanessa Connell Myers, brother; Brantley (Fouse) Connell, sister; Ann Rogers, grandchildren; Shane, Makayla, Shayna, Beulah, Ashley, Casey, Cyle, Eli, Ariana, Gracie, Seth, Ashlyn, Charity, Jayce, and Aiden. Several nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.
A celebration of life for Charles will be held at Landmark Baptist Church on Friday, May 8th, 2026, at 2:00pm CST.
