Charles Glasscock passed on April 29, 2026, at the age of 86, having been born on March 11, 1940.Charles proudly served in the US Air Force as a chauffeur, a role in which he once drove for Bob Hope. Following his military service, he began a long career in transportation, first driving for the city of Birmingham, where he met his first wife, Patricia Mason. He later spent many years as a charter bus driver, traveling across the US before transitioning to manage the Greyhound station in Huntsville, AL. During his time in Huntsville, he opened the Rocket City Deli, where he served his popular fried chicken. In his leisure time, Charles was a passionate classic car enthusiast, spending hours restoring them and attending car shows. Above all, he was a loyal friend to many, always eager to reconnect, visit, and lend a helping hand to friends and family in times of need.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Melissa Brady and Michelle Warren; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nicole, Sarah, Kelsey, Christy, and Jack; and great-grandchildren, Tyson and Laney-Kate Robbins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home. The celebration of Charles’ life will follow at 1:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial in Duck River Cemetery.
