Charles Franklin Glass, 77, of Anderson, left this earth to be with our Lord on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at ECM Hospital due to complications from multiple sclerosis. He was diagnosed with this debilitating disease in 1988. He struggled for 27 years but kept a positive attitude until he knew his journey was drawing near. He was retired from machine maintenance at Rogersville Manufacturing Company, a member of Anderson Church of Christ and an avid Alabama football fan. He enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee at the Fish Creel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, from noon–2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with David Cox officiating. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery, Limestone County. Pallbearers will be Curtis Glass, David Glass, Tyler Glass, Korey Bates, Kevin Bates and Michael Haraway.
Mr. Glass was preceded by his parents, Warren and Blondena Glass, in-laws, Fred and Nell Bates, sister-in-law, Barbara Delaney, brother-in-law, J.M. Moody, and special nieces, Tanya Moody Dabbs and Trinity Glass Sledge. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Glass; daughter, Tammie Glass; brothers, Warren (Joan) Glass, Jr. and Jimmy (Janice) Glass; sister, Janice Moody; brothers-in-law, Ray Bates, Ronnie Bates; and several nieces and nephews; special friend, Donnie Cox.
