Charles Ervin Montgomery, age 80, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, September 03, 2025, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Meagan & Zachary Montgomery, his parents, Floyd Irvin & Louise (Britnell) Montgomery, and sister, Peggy Oliver.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 61 years, Margaret Nell Montgomery; children, Barry Montgomery (Samantha), Dawn James (Jeffery); grandchildren, Nate Montgomery (Holly), Toshia Rice (Paxton), Abby Montgomery, Hunter James (Alaina), Tanner James (Kaci); great-grandchildren, Mila Montgomery, Hudson Montgomery, Bo Rice, Asher Rice, Layla James, Caroline James; sister, June Smith (Chris); and several nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Almirol and his staff, as well as the staff of Hospice of North Alabama for your care of Charles. The family also wants to thank Jim & Michelle Sibley and the Sibley family. Dating back to 1963, there has been a lifetime of employment, friendship, and many memories made, and we appreciate you all so very much.
The family will have a private graveside service.
