Charles Edwin “ Wormy “ Fretwell , 69 of Leighton, passed away July 8, 2014, after a 10 year battle wilt cancer.
Visitation will be Thursday July 10, from 5-8 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services to begin at 2:00 P.M. Friday, in the chapel. Burial to follow at Old Bethel Cemetery. Pastor Keith Prince and good friend Tommy Howard officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Estelle Witt Fretwell and sister-in-law Carolyn Uhlman.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pat Fretwell,
Daughter, Tonya Fretwell Russell
Son, Tony Fretwell.
Grandsons, Blake and Cody Fuller, granddaughters, Payton and Laken Fretwell.
Cousin, Dot Tarleton and extended family.
Pallbearers will be, Wayne Rushing, Dewey Pace, Dwain Clement, Ernie Kilpatrick, James Ayers and Maylon Boatwright. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Gooch, Larry Gooch, Claude Karr, Mike Quillen, Danny Martin, Carl Counts and Jim Wright.
Mr. Fretwell officiated local sports for 40 years and played softball 43 years.
He loved to ride his motorcycle and had ridden across the Continental U.S., Alaska and Canada. . He was the best daddy and granddaddy, and never met a stranger.
