Mr. Charles Edward Wilson, age 76, husband of Joan Wilson, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Memorial service information will be announced at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 27, 1942 in Florence, Alabama, Charles was the son of the late Orlan Wilson and the late Ethel Killen Yates. He served his country in the United States Army Reserve for seven years and worked at General Motors for 37 years before retiring in 2004. He was a jack of all trades but especially enjoyed car restoration and wood working.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Joan Wilson; children, Teena (David) Collins, of Florence, Alabama, Kimberly (Ted) MacIsaac, of Hazel Park, Michigan, Shannon (Lisa) Wilson, of Florence, Alabama, and Brandon Ward, of Columbia; sisters, Sue Smith, of Lexington, Alabama, Betty Ann Cluesman, of Detroit, Michigan, and Jane E. Yates, of Ferndale, Michigan; grandchildren, Ashton MacIsaac, Brittany MacIsaac, Charley MacIsaac, Hunter Beck, Riley Wilson, Kiefer Wilson, and Hudson Ward; and great-grandchildren, Zoey Beck, Sawyer Beck, Aiden Wilson, and Silas Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Wilson; brother, David Perryman; and sister, Catherine Brown.
