Charles Edward Thompson, 78, of Athens, passed away Sunday.
Mr. Thompson was retired from the US Marine Corp after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Thompson; son, Anthony (Katie) Thompson; two daughters, Wendy Eastman and Renee Lynn Thompson; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Harris and Donna (Ricky) Discenza; five grandchildren, David Drew, Darian Discenza, Nico Discenza, Allie Thompson, and Benjamin Thompson; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylle Drew and Brady Drew.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 8th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00.
