Charles Edward Sandusky, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, a member of VFW Post 1618, D.A.V, and Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Sandusky served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hicks; his mother, Birdie Mae Felker Sandusky; and two sisters, Christine Trapp and Gladys Smith.

He is survived by

Wife of 51 years –
Lois Marie Sandusky, Lawrenceburg, TN

Two Daughters –
Shirley Lamae Jarvis (Buzzy), Corpus Christi, Texas
Trudy Elaine Garner (Chris), Leoma, TN

One Son –
Tim Sandusky (Anita), Ethridge, TN

Five Grandchildren –
Heath Garner
Lydia Garner
Hayley Sandusky
Amy Skrivanas
Ben Jarvis

Four Great-Grandchildren

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 01, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Friday, May 02, 2014, with Tim Cunningham, Duel Self, and David Parr officiating. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery in Giles County, TN with full military honors.
