Charles Edward Rainwater, age 92, of Albertville, passed away at Gadsden Regional on December 25, 2025. He was born on July 17, 1933, to the late Rev. C.E. and Estelle Rainwater. Charles was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Rainwater; beloved son, Dion (Shelly) Rainwater; grandchildren, Coltin (Lauren) Rainwater and Lucas (Brook) Rainwater; and great-grandchildren, Maverick Rainwater and Mila Rainwater. Charles leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and strength that will continue to guide and inspire us.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Euel Rainwater and Rev. James Rainwater, and sister, Vera Duke.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Dean Timbes and Bro. David McMillen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.
