Charles Edward Burnette, age 82 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Vanderbilt-Harton Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Belvidere on October 25, 1942, to the late William Edward and Jewel (Gray) Burnett. Until his health would not allow, Charles worked as a self-employed brick mason in Franklin and surrounding counties. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Anthony Frazer, Timothy Cunningham, and Stevie Cunningham. Charles is survived by his loving children, Sharon McKibben, Angela (James) Massengill, Jewelnell (Chris) Reese, Janet Davis, Callie (Brett) Henderson, Bonita (Kenneth) Staten, Carla (Daniel) Bradford, Annette (Charles) Johnson, Amanda (Shanta) Brewer, Carlos Cunningham, Shiro (Ericka) Burnette Sr, Marcus Foxx, and Charles J. Burnette; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
