Charles Douglas Smith, 75, of Gadsden, AL, went to be with our Heavenly Father on the morning of April 5, 2024.
Though he was born in Atlanta, GA in 1948, Charles would later call Gadsden, AL his home. He attended, then graduated from Etowah High School in 1966. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 05/1966 – 04/1968 when he would be honorably discharged. Of all his accomplishments in life, his son, Chris and 2 granddaughters were his favorite. At the end of his life, Charles was most appreciative of his ex-wife & friend Terri Noojin as his caregiver.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Authur Smith and Dena Bell Smith. He is survived by his son Christopher Douglas Smith (Marlee Smith), and granddaughters Charlotte and Caison Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday April 7 at Crestwood Cemetery at 2:30pm.
There will be no visitation.
