After 76 years on God’s creation, Dr. Charles Donald Baggett saw his Savior face to face on October 3, 2026. Donald Baggett was born in Oxford, MS to the late Burwood and Laverne Baggett on October 22, 1949. In 1967, he married his teenage sweetheart, Anne Turner. God saved Donald when he was 28 years old. When he was 29, God called Donald to preach His gospel. Since then, Donald faithfully preached throughout North Mississippi and served churches in Vernon, Alabama, New Albany, Belden, Fulton, Tupelo, Plantersville, and Nettleton, Mississippi. He also served in numerous positions within the county and state Baptist Convention. Donald loved his Lord, and throughout his life and ministry, strived to not only faithfully preach the gospel, but live it before anyone he came in contact with. Donald Graduated from Blue Mountain College in 1986. He earned his Master’s Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1993, and his Doctorate in 1994 from Southern Baptist School of Biblical Studies. In addition to serving Christ, Donald loved playing the guitar and mandolin, watching westerns, and trading cars. He had a sense of humor that kept those around him laughing.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday October 6, 2026, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Baggett and Bro. Marl Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Yellow Leaf Cemetery in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday October 5th at Senter Funeral Home.

John 14:1-6 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; thatwhere I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”.
