Charles Dennis Craig, age 66, of Athens, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Dennis was born August 2, 1957 to L.D. Craig and Helen Blankenship. He was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Craig and step father, Lowell Blankenship.
Dennis is survived by his beautiful bride Beverly Spain Craig, daughter Brandy Bowman (Kirk) of Port St. Lucie, FL, daughter Kristina McElrath (John), son Joseph Thrasher (Martha), grandchildren Megan Davis, Skyler Davis, Joe Gunn Thrasher, Hollyn Thrasher, Dade Thrasher, Beau Thrasher, Janie Ruth Patton Jane McElrath, mother Helen Blankenship, sister Janet Jones (Larry) of Minor Hill, TN, brother Tim Craig (Angela) of Athens, AL along with several nieces and nephews. Dennis will be deeply missed by his family, friends and coworkers.
Dennis was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a dedicated and loyal Funeral Director at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur, AL since 2012. He also served families at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL for several years.
A visitation for Dennis will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 228 Mt Zion Road, Huntsville, Alabama 35806, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL.
