Charles Denman Dawson, age 86 of Albertville, an Air Force veteran, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents and his constant companion of 8 years; Shadow, his Scottish Terrier.
Charles is survived by his wife of 35 ½ years; Nancy Lancaster Dawson, daughters; Christi Wilhelm (Steven), Susan Sobolewski (Ed) and DeAndra Coker (Stacey) and son; Daniel Dawson, grandchildren; Cayleb Coker, Andrea Renforth (Nick) and Cesiley McCurry (John), great-grandchildren; Kayla McCurry, Hailey McCurry, Sammy Renforth, Natalie Renforth and Boone Jack McCurry. Charles is also survived by a host of others sent by God that include family, chosen family and friends.
Charles was the epitome of a good man, a good husband, a good Dad and a good Papa.
There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Rev. Wayne White will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1 at Albertville Memorial Chapel.
