Charles (Dave) David Roper 83, passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2021 at his home in Ardmore, TN.
Dave was the 4th of 5 children, born to George and Deverril (Workman) Roper on May 10th, 1938 in Mansfield, Ohio.
He graduated from Johnsville High School in 1956 and soon thereafter began a career with Air Liquide that would span 4 decades and much of the continental U.S., retiring in 1998. His greatest accomplishment and source of pride, however, was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, doting PaPa, and friend to all.
Dave is survived by his wife of 40 years Barbara Roper; his children, Jeffery (Bev) Roper, Kimberly (Bruce) Garn, Christi Roper Franks, David (Mindy) Roper, and Philip (Rita) Roper; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as his siblings, George (Kathleen) Roper and Peggy Williams.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jim Roper and Sue Smith.
The family will receive friends at Ardmore Chapel – 27186 East Main St., Ardmore, AL on Thursday, June 24th from 6pm – 7pm.
