Charles “Chuck” Blessie – Obituary

charlesRet. SFC Charles “Chuck” Blessie, age 51, of Harvest, he lost a brave battle to a long term illness on May 28, 2015. Chuck was a beloved husband, father, pops, coach, and mentor. He served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Army and leaves behind a very large and cherished Army family.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughters, Ariel Blessie and Brittany Bailey; grandson, Landon Helton; three brothers; two sisters; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Laughlin Funeral Home Sunday, May 31st, from 2-4pm with a memorial service following in the chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America or to Kids to Love, Huntsville, AL.
