Charles “Charlie” Phillip Peters, 57 of Florence, died Friday, January 3, 2020. His visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. His service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with David Dowdy officiating.
Mr. Peters worked as a machine operator with the Lauderdale County Road Department. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Peters; brother, Dewayne Richardson; and mother in law, Mary Wynell Hancock; nephew, John Hancock; and niece, Ryleigh Terrell.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Teresa Peters; children, Danielle Kelley (Ryan), and Brianna Peters (Jerrod); mother, Jean Richardson Peters; brother, Mark Peters (Lisa); sister, Rebecca Peters; sister in law, Betty Richardson; grandchildren, Mia Peters, Delilah and Blayden Kelley; father in law, Alver Hancock; brothers in law, Terrell Hancock (Judy) and Lynn Hancock; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to recognize special friends, Randy Hawk, Johnny Pigg, Richard Melton, and his co workers of the Lauderdale County Road Department.
