Charles Aaron Lyons, age 71, of Haleyville, passed away Oct. 26, 2012. He retired after 34 years as a welder with Fontaine Mfg. and served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Haleyville Masonic Lodge #464 and attended New Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Randy D. Lyons of Florence, and Sue Cooley of Russellville; brother, Benny Lyons of Haleyville; sisters, Sue (Donald) Rutherford of Moulton, Wilma Garrison of Trinity, and Carolyn Minihan of Decatur; and grandchildren, Megan and Nicholas Lyons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Martellia Lyons and wife, Hazel June Lyons.
The funeral service will be noon Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville. Thurman Evans will be officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery.
