Cewilla Maggie Green, 94 of Lacey’s Spring, the Morgan City area, died Saturday August 26, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Green was born August 15, 1923 in Marshall County to Berry McClung and Beulah Knight McClung. She worked for Huntsville Manufacturing – Cotton Mill until her retirement. Her husband James Delmus Green preceded her in death November 25, 2000. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and working in her yard and browsing yard sales.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Green is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Joan Bridges and James and Christine West and Raleigh; her sons and daughter-in-law: Buddy Green, Donny Green, Larry Green and Billy Green and Charlenia; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a sister Emme McCarver. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Delmus Green; two sons: Roger Green and Michael Green; a daughter: Betty June Green; half brother: Dewey Albright and two sisters Beatrice Smith and Emme McCarver.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm. Monday August 28, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Nathan Chambers, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be David Bridges, Lonny Bridges, Alex Black, James Green, Thomas Black, Marty West, Zachary West and Marcus Green.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday August 28, 2017 prior to the service at Brindlee Mountain Chapel.
