Celisa Diane Hardy Hagood, 59 of Athens, passed away on Monday, July 31st, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Hagood was born on March 20th, 1964, in Athens, to Charles Douglas and Betty Jo Dugger Hardy.
Mrs. Hagood is survived by her mother Betty Jo Hardy Wales (Pete); husband Richard Hagood; children Alan Scott and Mark Douglas; family member Kelsy Leigh Rogers; grandchildren Adaline Violet Hagood and Jameson Douglas Hagood; sister Joanna Madry (Steve); brother Charles Douglas Hardy, Jr. (Alicia); and nephew Jacob Todd Hardy.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles Douglas Hardy; and grandparents Fred & Ada Hardy and Algie & Olar Dugger.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hagood will be Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Donnie Rogers officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00-1:50pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gatlin Cemetery.
Mrs. Hagood loved reading and writing and was the author of children’s books. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was an avid fan of, and a wit to match Lewis Grizzard.
