Celebrating Native American Heritage Month…Natchez Trace Parkway to Show The Film Pearl

indian heritage monthTUPELO– To commemorate American Indian Heritage Month, the Natchez Trace Parkway will show the family-friendly film Pearl at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Parkway Visitor Center near Tupelo.

 

Pearl is an inspiring story of a legendary Chickasaw woman who became the youngest licensedpearl pilot in American history.  The film was the recipient of the Best of Show award at the 2009 Indie Fest, among other awards. The story of Eula “Pearl” Carter Scott reflects the rich cultural history of the Natchez Trace.
