Mr. Cecil Shannon, age 88, passed away early Monday, March 25, 2024, in Jackson. He was born June 12, 1935 in Hardin County to the late Alton and Dorothy Adams Shannon. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a farmer. He loved farming and working. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bobbie Flowers. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Loretta Rhodes Shannon; three sons, Larry Shannon (Donna), Gary Shannon, and Phillip Shannon; one sister, Betty Galbraith; three grandsons, Dustin Shannon, Daniel Shannon, and Drew Shannon; and two great granddaughters, Gracie and Hattie Shannon.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Doe Creek Cemetery in Sardis. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
