Mr. Cecil Reece, age 92 of Athens, AL passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home. Mr. Reece was born on July 16, 1925 in Limestone County to Frank and Rodie Scroggins Reece.
Mr. Reece was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Birdie Reece; great-grandson, Jackson Holt; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Reece (Elaine); daughter, Pam Aaron (David); grandchildren, Lynn Reece, Jai Reece, Joshua Aaron (Stacy) and Elijah Aaron (Leisha); great-grandchildren, Presley Holt, Calen Reece, Caleb Aaron, Asher Aaron, Ulyana Aaron, Vasya Aaron, Max Aaron, McKenna Aaron, Maddie Grace Aaron and Annabelle Aaron; sister, Etoyle Peyton (Richard); several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Reece will be at 2:00PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Elijah Aaron, Joshua Aaron and Jai Reece officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be John Blankenship, Joshua Aaron, Elijah Aaron, Jai Reece, Mahlon Nixon and Don Lee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
