Cecil PetersCecil Peters, Sr. 77, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Peters was born in Anniston, Alabama and raised in Oxford, Alabama. He went to Oxford High School. He was known to all as a loving, kind man who would do anything for anyone. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. Mr. Peters was an avid member of the GWRA, Chapter D – Model City Wing Motorcycle Group. He enjoyed working on Volkswagen cars, motorcycles and fishing with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynne Peters. Three children: Charles “Bubb” Peters (Julie), Brandy Mullinax (Dustin) and Bobby Peters (Jennifer). 10 grandchildren: Casey Lail, Jessica Peters, Scott Peters, Chris Stiles, Joseph Stiles, Eric Mullinax, Mason Mullinax, Rowan Mullinax, Abigail Peters and James Peters. Four great-grandchildren: Aniyah Stiles, Kaydence Lail, Kambree Lail, Maverick Lail. Two sisters: Charlotte Grizzard and Wanda Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his son, Cecil Peters, Jr. “PeeWee”, Anthony Scott Peters and Tracy Lynn Peters and his parents, Charles and Lena Mae Peters.
Services for Mr. Peters will be held on December 5, 2020 at Stockdale Baptist Church in Munford, Alabama at 3:00 p.m. with Kevin Jones officiating.
The family extends a special thanks to Lakeside Hospice for their excellent care of Mr. Peters and help with the family during his last days.
