Mr. Cecil Bruce Yates, age 64, of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at home.
He is survived by wife Lori Yates, son Cecil Bruce Yates, Jr., daughter Caroline Lee Yates, as well as brothers William Bradden Yates (Theresa) and Robert Lee “Bama Bob” Yates, an aunt Stella Benson as well as several cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Word Yates Whatley and father William “Bill” Yates and aunt Peggy Word Holland McClendon.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 with visitation preceding at the church from 1:30-3:00. The Reverend Polly Robb will officiate.
Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
