Funeral service for Cathy Taylor, age 72, of Town Creek will be 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lavanul Sherrill officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Courtland City Cemetery. Cathy was born on July 28, 1951, in Decatur to Dennis Taylor and Elouise Hill Rhoades.
She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 9, 2023, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Grandparents, Selma, and Maebell Hill Sr.
Aunt, Wanda Gatlin.
Sister, Regina Pearce Colwell, Bother, Coy D. Pearce Jr. and her biological uncle, who was raised like her brother, the late Selma Hill Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Haley Whitaker (Trent), of Hatton Alabama; Grandchildren, Addyson Whitaker, and Remington Whitaker, who were the Apple of Her Eyes.
Sisters: Anita Taylor of New Jersey; Angela Smith (Eddie) of Adamsville, Alabama.
Brothers: Leamon Pearce (Terry) of Dora, Alabama; Linnie Pearce (Mary) of Chesapeake, Virginia.
