Mrs. Cathy Sue Haynes, age 62 of Athens, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Haynes was born on August 7, 1956 in Limestone County to Johnny Whitt and Nameless Butler Whitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laura Beth Haynes.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband, David Haynes of Athens, AL; brothers, J.D. Whitt of Decatur, AL and Johnny Whitt, Jr. of Jacksonville, MS; sisters, Betty Johnson of Phoenix, AZ and Judy Carter of Athens, AL.
She was a member of New Oakland Independent Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years. Cathy was retired from the Athens City Board of Education.
Services for Mrs. Haynes will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Rayburn and Bro. Anthony Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joey Russell, Anthony Haynes, Joel Fichtner, Scott Maness, David Brewer, Bobby Brewer and Glenn Dugger.
