Cathryn M. Yopp of Selmer, TN was born February 17, 1920 in Fayette County, TN the daughter of the late Lewis Hicks Montague and Gillian Sanders Montague. She was united in marriage to Willis E. Yopp on March 3, 1939. Mr. Yopp preceded her in death on October 28, 2006.
Mrs. Yopp was employed for 19 years at Union Planters National Bank in Memphis as a Teller. They moved from Memphis to Selmer in 2001. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer and a lifetime member of The Order of The Eastern Star. Mrs. Cathryn enjoyed crocheting and especially enjoyed shopping for clothes. She was a devoted wife and mother. She departed this life on April 10, 2017 in Selmer at the age of 97 Years, 1 Month, 24 Days.
She is survived by a son, Gordon L. Yopp and wife Bobbie of Selmer, TN; a grandchild, Monica King; a grt-grandchild, Anthony Padgett; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Yopp was preceded in death by a son, Monty Yopp on March 5, 2010; three brothers, Edward George Montague, Lewis Hicks Montague, Jr., and Frances M. Montague.
