Catherine Camilla Compton, age 72, of Decatur, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at her daughter’s residence. Her family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Mrs. Compton was born August 14, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, to Carl Schultz and Sadie (Title) Schultz.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Hines (Evelyn) of Phoenix, AZ, and Tom Hines (Susan) of Danville; one daughter, Catherine Farley (John) of Danville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their special thanks to Beth, Pam, Gidget, and Shirley, nurses with Hospice of the Valley, for their care and compassion for Mrs. Compton.
