SHEFFIELD-The Ritz Theatre has a casting call for ‘The Marvelous Wonderetts’ a play written and created by Roger Bean.
The Marvelous Wonderetts are four women age 17 to 30 who, with their bouffant hair and crinoline skirts, transport audiences back to the 1950s and ’60s singing memorable pop hits such as “Mr. Sandman”, “Lollipop” and “Leader of the Pack” to name just a few.
Casting for:
Two midrange voices – auditioning with “Son of a Preacher Man”
One soprano – auditioning with “Wedding Bell Blues”
One alto – auditioning with “Lipstick on your Collar”
Be prepared to sing appropriate song for your range and perform a 60 second comedic monologue or a cold reading from the script.
Auditions will be held August 13 at 6:00 PM. this play will be directed by David Hope and music director Gene Anne Gifford.
Play dates are October 4-6, 11 and 12.
