Mrs. Cassie Schylea Richardson Hollis departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 at her residence in Iron City, Tennessee at the age of 42 years, five months, 26 days. She was born May 3, 1975 in Florence, the daughter of John Keith Richardson, Cypress Inn, Tennessee, and the late Carla Daniel Richardson.
She was united in marriage to Jody Hollis on Oct. 1, 1993.
Mrs. Hollis was formerly employed with Listerhill Credit Union as a Human Resources Specialist and she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Professional Writing from the University of North Alabama. She was also a member of the Collinwood Church of Christ.
She is survived by other than her father, her husband, Jody Hollis; son, John Nick Hollis; grandmother, Carlene Daniel. all of Iron City, Tennessee.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hollis was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Lillie Richardson and Leslie Daniel.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Glen Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Hollis Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 and Wednesday from noon until service time.
