Cassandra Lynn Graham, 46, of Hazel Green, passed away on Tuesday. She was a 1994 graduate of Hazel Green High School. Her love for animals led to her having numerous cats, dogs, goats, chickens, a turtle, and horses, including her special “Dixie”.
Cassandra was a person of immense strength and vitality and she lived her life to the fullest in spite of health concerns. She had a wonderful sense of humor and never met a stranger.
She will be remembered for always putting others first, being willing to give everything to help those who had a need, and for being an advocate for those around her. She loved her family very much, was the centerpiece of the family who brought everyone together, and always made her family a priority.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Mabel “Shamom” Falconbury, and by her aunt, Barbara Burns.
Surviving family members include her husband, Josh Graham; The father of her sons, Josh Lee; Her sons, Ashton (Logan) Lee and Ethan Lee; Her step-daughter, Mary Graham; Her mother, Rhonda Gaskin; Her father, John (Kathy) Gaskin Jr.; Her sister, Jennifer (Allen) Cobb; Her brother, John (Alicia) Gaskin III; Her niece, Tallulah Stocum; Her nephews, Braedan Gaskin and Grayson Gaskin.
The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4pm in the funeral home chapel.
