Funeral service for Cary Wendell Mixon , age 66 , of Decatur, will be Wednesday , January 13, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 12 , 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Mixon, who died Sunday, January 10 , 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital , was born , in Baldwin Co. AL, to Elmer and Mary Moorer Mixon. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Doug Mixon.
He is survived by, his wife Karen Mixon, two sons Levi Mixon, Trey Mixon, one-stepson, Andy Turner (Becky), two stepdaughters Amy Long and Allison Moore (Tim), nine grandchildren, two sisters Barbara Rook (Larry), Peggy Gibson (Gene) and one sister-in-law Gloria Mixon.
