Carron Sheffield was born in Itawamba County on April 30, l944 to the late Wheeler Sheffield and Dee Hankins Sheffield. She died on Thursday, April 23, 2026 after battling sepsis. Carron graduated from High School at Mantachie High School, attended Miss. State receiving her Med Tech degree and furthering her education with an MA and PhD degree in Management from MSU. A very intelligent, no nonsense medical professional, Carron worked in the Medical Technology at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo retiring as Department head. She and her dearest friend, Sara Wade, spent countless hours at their favorite place, Pickwick, on their boat.
There will be no formal services, per Carron’s wish. She is survived by her nieces, Deb bie McCarley Sheffield and her friends and extended family.
