Carrol Henry Redding – Obituary

Carrol Henry Redding, 79, of Florence, died April 25, 2014, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon today at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the service at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Redding will then be cremated. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
Mr. Redding was a member of the church of Christ and retired from Petrolane Gas Company. He also served in the US Army and was a member of the Florence Moose Lodge.
He was born in Lauderdale County to the late Hubert Redding, Sr. and Velma Lindsey Redding. Survivors are his daughter, Carla Smith (Jerry), Independence, KY; brothers, Hubert Redding, Jr. (Pauline), Oakland, Owen Redding (Louise), Gadsden, and Bobby Redding, Florence; step-daughter, Tammy Lash Barden, Florence; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Jordan Smith. Preceding him in death were his wife, Sandra Kay Redding; sisters, Virginia Hollingsworth, Monty Redding and Hildreath Redding; brother, Howard Redding.
